ATLAS TOUR

This raid was specifically designed for beginners of the African trails and to the occasional enduro bikers since it is made of stages ranging from 150 to 220 kms per day. It will take us along an incredible variety of landscapes of the southern part of Morocco: the majestic High-Atlas mountain range on the 1st and last day, the surprising  Anti-Atlas mountain range on the 2nd and 5th day, the dunes of the Moroccan Sahara on the 3rd day, and finally the green valley of the Drâa on the 4th day... The stages are never long thus making it possible to fully enjoy the beauty of the panoramas and the Moroccan tracks.

  • Climate : Continental : cool during the nightt, mainly in the desert (cold duing winter). Hot during the day.
  • Luggages :your luggages follow in the 4x4 back car.
  • Security : 1 or 2 guides on motobikes. 4X4 back car, HF radio , satellite phone.
  • Formalities : Minimum age is 18 year old. Driving licence required. Valid passport 6 month after departure.
  • Motorbikes : KTM 450 andt 530 EXC 2008 or YAMAHA 450 WRF 2006.
  • Group : 6 to 10 persons.

Saturday 1: Flight to Marrakech

Welcome to Marrakech. Airport transfer towards our base.  Dinner at the hotel with swimming pool.

Sunday : Marrakech – Taliouine (220 km)
Crossing of the GUEMASSA plateau, rounding the LALLA TAKERKOUST Lake  then headind towards the KIK plateau. Crossing of the High-Atlas mountain range via  a  2200 meter high pass. Descent towards the small city of TALIOUINE through Mediterranean landscapes. Overnight in a typical and  friendly  Taliouine auberge.

Monday : Taliouine – Foum Zguid (180 km)
Crossing the Anti-Atlas starting with the volcanic landscapes of Adrar TINGAGUENE, then passage through the extraordinary village of IGUEMANE which opens the track on splendid canyons. Landscapes of steppe before arriving in the town of FOUM ZGUID, we stay in a hotel for the night.

Tuesday : Foum Zguid – Erg Chegaga (150 km)
Stage of pure desert. After the passage of the reg, skirting around Jbel MADER in off-road riding, then crossing the amazing IRIKI dry lake. Unforgettable moments at the time of the crossing of the CHEGAGA erg through the dunes. Arrival at the bivouac made of typical Berber lodging for one fantastic sahraoui evening.

Wednesday: Erg Chegaga – Zagora (150 km)
Another day of desert with sand, cords of dunes and beautiful tracks. Passage by the village of M HAMID, then heading eastward towards ZAGORA.  Night in Zagora, hotel with swimming pool.

Thirsday : Agdz – Aït Benhaddou (160 km)
We exit the Dràa valley through splendid cascades, then crossing the Adrar OUIGHRANE reaching a splendid descent towards OUARZAZATE. Arrival at the locality of AÏT BENHADDOU by mid afternoon leaving time if you wish to go and enjoy a visit of the Unesco classified kasbah. Night and dinner in hotel.

Friday : Aït Benhaddou - Marrakech (190 km)
Climbing of the High-Atlas by TELOUET, then the TICHKA pass. Descent towards Marrakech riding on splendid tracks bordering the Atlas. Free evening for the participants, our base is only a 20 minute taxi ride from the medina of Marrakech. Night at our base in the guest house.

Saturday : Transfer to the airport of Marrakech. Flight back.
